heath factory visit

Tucked away in Sausalito, just across the bay, is Heath Ceramic‘s historic Factory Store.

It’s just as charming as the Ferry Building location, but offers a larger product selection, gorgeous displays, discounted ceramics, and perhaps my favorite, an overstock room. You can score some incredible deals on their wares and tiles, and if you time your visit just right, take part in a factory tour.

While most associate Heath with their tableware, perhaps most covetable is their tile.  Some of my favorite installations are here, here and here.

If you’re ever in the bay area, it’s a treat to add the Factory Store to your itinerary.  Definitely worth the trip, by sea or by bridge.
