hayes valley

Hayes Valley is one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of San Francisco, nestled between Downtown and the Mission.

My first stop always seems to be MietteI can’t wait for their new book!

This was my first time dining at bar JULES. It’s cozy and delicious, with a daily changing menu.

I love the colors all over the neighborhood…they put a little kick in your step!

It was opening day at Smitten Ice Cream, and worth the wait completely. Each cup is made to order, and is absolutely heavenly, down to the last bite.

My favorite store for all things little, Fiddlesticks.

One of my favorite decor boutiques, Lotus Bleu. Take a peek at their portfolio here.

And perched just up the street are the infamous Painted Ladies, sitting pretty in all their Victorian grandeur…

ici

Ici is the ice cream shoppe little girls dreams are made of – sweet, charming and full of frozen delights at every turn. The ladies who work at this artisan creamery are incredibly kind, and don’t mind if you try all ten flavors. Don’t worry, I wasn’t that girl, but you could be and they wouldn’t mind at all.

Their “bombes“ may just be my favorite thing for summer celebrations. But who needs to wait for a birthday to have an excuse to try one of these colorful beauties?

Next time you’re in the bay area, be sure to pop in for an afternoon or evening treat!
