praia piquinia

At the very top of my wish list is a subscription to Christian Chaize’s collector’s series of Praia Piquinia prints.

It began in 2005 on his annual (and swoon-worthy) pilgrimage to the seaside of Portugal. Since then, Christian has returned each and every year to photograph the same locale, capturing its crystal waters and colorful beachgoers. To me, it’s the perfect landscape study.

You know how some say you’re either a beach-going or mountain-treking person through and through? Well, I’m definitely the former, no matter how hard I try to love those majestic alps. The seaside gets me every. single. time.

My tote is beach bound every chance it gets. How about you?

autumn orla

Season after season, I find myself even more smitten with Orla Kiely. Her autumn collection is pretty perfect. Oh, those coats!

one, two, three…

I love a good DIY, and am so inspired by Tyler Goodro’s Eames chair restoration undertaking, initiated after he discovered this DIY.

Admittedly, I tend to buy things post-DIY, largely because I have no idea where to begin. I think this may become a thing of the past though, now that I have a pictorial, step by step guide to restoring some of the coolest chairs around.

And…voilà!

How great are these colors he managed to score? Major kudos, Tyler!

PS – don’t miss Tyler’s blog. It’s amazing. (i.e. this post)

studio

In search of a few new studio pieces, I stumbled upon Modern Conscience and instantly beheld this little beauty

Bedside, sofaside, or all by its lonesome…I adore this piece.

They also have a fabulous collection of vintage Eames rockers, along with Modernica’s colorful fiberglass Case Study chairs. I’ve been on the hunt, and Modernica seems to offer the best color selection.

Happy 4th of July!

I’m so excited for the sunny holiday weekend ahead, and wish I would’ve stumbled upon The Raleigh Hotel sooner. It seems like the perfect spot for soaking up sunshine + fireworks.

I think I may just spy Mister Draper poolside…

Hope you have a very Happy Fourth!

Oh, how I wish my address was 0123456789!

Seriously, how great are these?  And, only $38.00 each. I don’t think you can put a price tag on these beauties.
