You’ve been calling my name for soo long now. And since many of my favorite creatives call you home + favorite shoppes line your streets, I know you must be pretty special.

So when I read that you’d gone and outdone yourself with the debut of Wythe Hotel, Williamsburg’s latest, it pretty much sealed the deal – I’m coming to visit!

Wythe Hotel started with the discovery of an old factory on the Brooklyn waterfront. Built in 1901 as a cooperage, we have preserved, renovated, and turned our historically industrial building into a place where people feel welcome.

All hail Korefe, the clever design firm behind this edible beauty. They are one of Germany’s most highly awarded design agencies, and well, I can see why. Major kudos!

Made out of 100% fresh pasta it can be opened, filled with ingredients and finally be cooked. Packaged as classic lasagna. The Cookbook was designed as a special project for a large publishing house.

So, it’s certainly no surprise that when Claiborne Swanson Frank set out to create her debut book, American Beauty, she teamed up with publisher extraordinaire Assouline.

A self-taught photographer with a fashion resume that includes a two-year stint at Vogue where she worked under Anna Wintour, Claiborne’s social circle is undoubtedly the perfect subject for such a book.

“Photographed by Vogue alumna Claiborne Swanson Frank, American Beauty features over 100 portraits of quintessentially American women such as Lily Aldridge, Solange Knowles, and Jenna Lyons — each of whom possesses an original blend of grit, grace, glamour, and gravitas that echo far beyond the pages of this oversize hardcover.”

I can’t wait to add this to my library for spring.

Artist & Architect Manu Kumar together with Stefan Gandl of Neubau Berlin developed the completely new frozen popsicle called, “Nuna”.

After 3 years of development it is now time to give the first visual insight to the revolutionary design of Nuna.

With Nuna, Neubau implemented for the first time a food-design that goes beyond the formal visual plane. “Four years ago we first came up with the idea of Nuna. From the beginning we wanted to make something entirely new to revolutionize the purely marketing-driven products currently flooding the ice cream market”, said Manu Kumar, now the CEO of Nuna World Ltd.

Neubau Berlin is responsible for the overall product appearance, corporate image, logo and corporate typeface. These images show the products brand book.
