Before & After: Newport Coast Remodel Pt. II

We’re back to share more of our #MGDxNewportCoast project in Part II of our Before & After series!

Girl’s Bedroom

Our chicest little Client had one request for her room…lots of pink with a fun “selfie” wall to take pics in front of when friends are over. So we got to work and pulled together a few wallpaper ideas and some of our favorite textiles, and let her make her dreams come true. Pretty in pink, with a little side of sweet!

Guest Bath

Once again… it was out with the old, and in with the new! We designed a custom make-up vanity for their little girl, so as she grew up she’d had a fun little spot to sit. The ottoman is a custom design we dreamed up for her, paired alongside an oatmeal-hued wallpaper and mixed metal finishes for the faucet, sconces and hardware.

Upper Hall

At the top of the stair landing sits the prettiest custom cabinetry, a vintage runner, and a pair of handblown-glass sconces that cast the prettiest glow at night. It’s one of our favorite spots in the house!

Master Bedroom

To play up the existing ceiling lines, we added paint-grade beams and tongue & groove ceiling millwork to give the space a fresh look.

The Master bed looks directly out to the Pacific Ocean and neighboring green hills, so we opted to keep the space tranquil and neutral, with an accented wallpaper wall and a gorgeous landscape photo by Petros Koublis.

The moment you step foot in the Master Suite, you feel like you never ever ever want to leave, and that’s just how we like it!

Master Bathroom

My oh my, this space went through a complete make-over! Coming off the Master Bedroom, we couldn’t help but keep their adjacent bath completely spa-like in every sense of the word, with all shades of white.

Shiplap-clad walls reflect the natural light that pour into this room each morning, and are surrounded by marble mosaic flooring, shower walls and countertops. A little bling above the tub accents an otherwise super understated space. Even with all of its intentional simplicity, there is still so much incredible detail to take in when you’re in the space, and we’re absolutely in love with the final product.
