When we’re tackling a new bathroom remodel, the tile selections can guide the entire feel of the space. If a client likes a bright and airy feel, the perfect marble tiles can set the tone for a clean bathroom design. By contrast, if we’re going for a more playful or moody design, we may opt for patterned tile or dark natural stone. In today’s “perfect pairs” post, we’ll be sharing 6 bathroom tile pairings for you to shop and be inspired by. Our senior designer hand selected each of these tiles, and we believe that there’s truly something for everyone in this roundup! Keep scrolling to see and shop all six bathroom tile pairings.

When we’re selecting tile pairings for our projects, we usually opt for at least two separate tile designs in each bathroom space – One for the shower walls, and one for the floor. It’s important that each tile pairing complements each other but doesn’t compete stylistically. One easy way to do this is by choosing tiles that are different shapes and layouts. For example, a square floor tile looks beautiful with a narrow brick wall tile. On the other hand, if you want two brick shapes, try laying the floor tile in a herringbone pattern to add extra dimension and interest (see pair #5)!
