Welcome back to part three of our #mgdxrancho home reveal! Today we’re unveiling all the spaces designed for the little ones and our client. From the girls’ bedroom and nursery, to the girls’ bathroom and dreamy primary suite, each space is thoughtfully curated with details that make our hearts sing. If you missed parts one and two, head to the projects section of our blog to see all the living spaces of this beautiful family home. Without further ado, let’s get into the whimsical littles’ spaces and the serene primary suite at our Rancho project.
Girls’ Bedroom
The family of 5 is complete with 3 darling little girls who call this wing of the home their very own. The big girls’ room was recently transformed to make room for their new baby sister. The two big girls share this room, and love bunking up together!
The sisters are all things girly so this room went perfectly pink in color. A nostalgic white spindle bed with a trundle below gives the girls their own space at bedtime, and then neatly tucks away for play time and make believe during the day. Custom pillows were made for the daybed in varying shades of pink with happy prints. A playful collage wall is filled with sweet rainbows, unicorns and florals. The walls are lined with a dotted wallpaper print, painted with pink accents for all of the trim and doors, and accented with aged brass hardware.
Nursery
The newest addition to the family calls this sweet nursery home. Heirloom family art is paired with other collected pieces for a gallery wall moment above the custom slipcovered glider. Soft pink floral wallpaper adorns the walls for a subtle, feminine touch throughout. The girls love their reading nook and hanging with their baby sister in here.
Girls’ Bathroom
Next up is the perfect pint-sized bath for their 3 darling girls, complete with a tub for bath time and petite-sized fixtures. We opted for a kids-sized toilette for the littles. A utility basin sink was integrated at a kid-friendly height, with a custom pink underside, making day to day tasks fun. Pink wallpaper accents the bathroom walls with classic horizontal nickel gap millwork below. The sisters love getting ready together in their sweet bathroom.
Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom is located on the second floor. With beautiful views of the backyard and lush landscaping, we wanted to incorporate a similar color palette in their room. Custom reeded wainscot wall paneling serves as a textural backdrop, accented in a muted green hue. A custom upholstered headboard is paired with oak nightstands and leather bedside sconces. A perforated brass flush mount is accented by ceiling paneling and beams, which we carried up from the first floor.
Primary Bathroom
On to perhaps the most beautiful bathroom, dare we say our favorite. Our clients waited over a year for many of the materials in this beautiful oasis, designed to be spa-like with luxe finishes. The primary bath features a steam shower with full height slab walls, and a custom brass shower glass enclosure – a true labor of love and hand crafted by artisans in Los Angeles.
Polished nickel bath fixtures are juxtaposed with beautiful aged brass accents. A soaking tub sits perfectly positioned in front of a picture window that overlooks the property, softened with white linen roman shades. Custom white oak cabinetry and vanities complete the space.
