Bird are chirping, trees are blooming—spring has officially sprung! With the changing of the seasons, why not freshen up our interiors while Mother Nature does the same? We’ve rounded up our 5 favorite spring refreshes to give your home its own little dose of sunshine! Interested in a spring refresh? Shop a few of our faves below!
Texture Swap
Easy, breezy, beautiful? Refreshed textures. Spruce up your home with lighter tones via a textured side table, a light woven rug or a set of dining chairs. We love a good mix and match of neutral textures to give a calming vibe.
And while we’re swapping soft goods, out with the chunky throws, in with light linens to snuggle up with on brisk spring nights al fresco. Tassels, stripes, light and bright patterns—just a few of the looks we’re loving for the season! Sling them over the back of your couch for an easy grab as you head out to the patio.
Flower Power
What says spring better than fresh blooms? Head to your local farmer’s markey and snag some fresh tulips and peonies, pop ’em in a vase, and place them around your home for instant happiness – I love putting a small arrangement in my kitchen by the sink… makes me happy every time I’m doing dishes! Try a larger arrangement filled with greens and florals in your main living area, then snip off a few big blooms and place in bud vases in bedrooms and bathrooms for a little living love in each space.
Freshen Up
A spring refresh ain’t no thang without a clean house—carve out a little time during the week, or tackle it over the weekend, and do a little scrubbing around the house to get it fresh and clean for a extra little dose of sunshine.
Hand-in-hand with cleaning? Organizing! As you spruce things up, find homes for those constantly-sitting-out items with some baskets and bins. Tidy items on a pretty shelf. Or, ditch the clunky chip bags and cereal boxes and display your nonperishables in pretty glass containers.
Dining Delights
As family meals become more frequent with kiddos out of school, it’s been fun to have our table casually prepped and ready to entertain-ish, just for the fam. We love a pretty runner for the tabletop, along with updated vases (with those fresh florals from #2, obviously!), and plenty of seasonally fresh wood, white, and woven elements…anything with a natural feel that can be easily moved if needed. Oh, and springtime candles? Always a must!
And, ’tis the season for fresh veggies and fruit! Whether you’re snagging your produce from the farmer’s market or local grocer, we’re all about displaying non-refrigerated finds on the counter…let them act as décor in a low ceramic or wooden bowl, or equally adorable berry basket.
Outdoor Lovin’
And speaking of patios… while technically not indoors, the patio (or deck or porch!) is essentially an extension of your interior… so why not get it ready for the warmer temperatures, too! Dust off the outdoor furniture now that the super chilly temps are out of the forecast, and snag some outdoor-friendly fabrics to finish off the look. A new doormat for the front door, sleek framed outdoor furniture, an outdoor rug, planters potted with spring-friendly flowers—all easy updates to get you outdoors and enjoying the change in season.
