This week kicked off the reveal of one of our most anticipated projects – #MGDxLaJolla! We’re so excited to share the first “get the look” post with you all! Psst… If you missed part one of the reveal, head there to catch up on all of the spaces before diving in. In today’s post, we’ll be sharing all of the links and sources you need to make the entryway and La Jolla kitchen design your own. Many of the pieces throughout this project were custom made or vintage finds, so we’d also recommend working with local artisans and retailers where you can to create a similar style in your own home! So, let’s dive in, and get to shopping!
Entry
This bright and beautiful entryway welcomes you as you step through the steel doors, and we love how it sets the tone for the rest of the home. A round jute rug adds texture underfoot, but an oversized vintage console table and colorful custom art piece catch your eye first. To recreate this look at home, look for a contemporary and linear chandelier, an extra-long console table, vintage vessels for greenery and moss, and a piece of colorful art that makes you happy every time you step into your house.

Kitchen
They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and that’s especially true in this chef’s dream space! While the finishes are some of our favorite elements in this La Jolla kitchen design, there are a few quick upgrades you can make in your own kitchen to invoke a similar feel. Mixed material counter stools add warmth and visual interest – Look for ones that mix metal, upholstery, and leather or wood! Plaster pendant lights are wonderfully understated, and allow the rest of the kitchen to truly shine. Last but not least, deck out your shelves with your favorite cookbooks, stoneware mugs, and clear storage containers.

Dirty Kitchen
The final “get the look” section in today’s post focuses on the dirty kitchen – One of the coolest spaces in this home! This space is all about the details. Mixed cutting boards, ceramic serveware, and pretty storage containers make this dirty kitchen feel lived-in and purposeful. An ultra-cool leather chair adds a touch of warmth and is the perfect space to flip through cookbooks or send a quick email!
