Before & After: Design House P.2

Follow along this week as we continue our tour of #mgdxdesignhouse, highlighting the heart and soul of our office — our working space. Because this is the area we spend our days in, we wanted to make sure it felt uplifting, bright, and full of creativity. We’re sharing all of the fun details this week that will hopefully inspire you to create a cute working area for yourself — scroll on down to see the before & afters!

Office Space

As you walk through the showroom, you enter the once warehouse now turned office space. This area really is the heart and soul of our design house, as it’s where the team has individual workspaces. Because the work we do is so collaborative, the open and airy environment aids in communication and teamwork. In this portion of the studio, we repolished the existing concrete floors, added painted white plywood to the walls, and created a dividing wall to add a storage area to house samples, materials, and inventory (all the good stuff!).

Bathroom

Next to the work area sits a teeny tiny bathroom that packs a small punch for such a little space. We repurposed the original trough sink and painted it white, giving the space a nod to the roots of the building. We hand-laid custom calacatta marble floor and added wallpaper and accessories to make it feel current. It’s filled with personality!

Kitchen

Because we have limited space in the office area, we created the cutest kitchen possible that’s filled with just the essentials. It’s our go-to area for daily lunches and afternoon snacks!
