It’s no secret that we love a mudroom over here at MGD! Mudrooms add so much functionality to a home by providing extra storage and a convenient way to drop bags and shoes on your way into a home. We often incorporate them into our full scale remodels and new builds, either by including them in the floorplan of the home or by adding a built-in nook off the entryway. Today we’re sharing one of our favorite versions from our beloved Bainbridge project! This black and white mudroom design is full of contrast and storage options that work so well for our clients’ indoor/outdoor lifestyle. The first design element you notice in this space is that perfect black paint color on the built-in cabinetry and millwork. This particular color is one of our go-to dark paint colors – Graphite by Benjamin Moore. Next, brass details in the form of a flush mount light and functional J hooks add a bit of warmth to an otherwise clean black and white mudroom design. Lastly, a mix of patterned pillows and woven storage baskets add some much-needed texture!
