Nurseries are always a joy to design, and this one was even more so since it was our own! We knew from the beginning that we wanted a neutral nursery design. Now, we love how the design and color palette in this space complements the rest of the home, but still feels extra special for little Ollie.
Like many of the spaces we design, we started by selecting the wallpaper. This organic stripe pattern from Serena & Lily is one of our favorites, and it was the perfect backdrop for this neutral nursery design. From there, we started layering in things we loved as we found them, including an arched wood crib, black dresser, a vintage mirror, and oversized storage baskets. We also prioritized texture, and love the mix of wool in the rug with sheepskin, alpaca, and velvet in the throws and pillows. I absolutely love this bedroom design. I am also expecting and I immediately felt like this is how my son’s nursery should look like. However, no matter how much i love the wallpaper incorporated in this design, it is something that I am not able to achieve, simply because of a budget and anything wallpaper is out of question. What would you suggest for the wall colour in replacement of the wallpaper? Thank you! What a wonderful, gorgeous design and talent!
