Welcome to part two of our #mgdportnewport reveal! If you missed part one where we shared the downstairs living spaces of this pretty home, head there to catch up. Today on the blog, we’ll be sharing the coastal bedrooms and bathrooms that make up this light and bright family home. So, let’s get right into it!
Main Bedroom
First up is the main bedroom upstairs. The first thing you notice when you walk into this space is that beautiful woven pendant chandelier! It makes the prettiest coastal statement, while still keeping the space feeling airy and bright. A large woven bed frame is dressed in crisp white and blue bedding, and complemented by light blue and brass nightstands. Miniature bedside sconces make the perfect reading lights, and a vintage area rug warms up the all-white space. The custom millwork we incorporated throughout the downstairs of the home carries upstairs as well with a vertical shiplap accent wall and custom built-in dresser.
Main Bath
The ensuite bath of the main bedroom is one of our favorite moments in this home. Custom reeded cabinetry is the showpiece of the space, accented by brass oval knobs. You know we love making sure our clients have lots of functional storage in the bathroom spaces. So, a center tower with glass front cabinets was a must in this bathroom. Woven wood shades, modern brass mirrors, and the cutest white cone sconces complete the space.
Girls Room 1
Our home tour wouldn’t be complete without taking you through the three cutest spaces in this project! We were lucky enough to design not one but two girls coastal bedrooms in this home. They’re both so special and unique in their own way! We designed the first girls room in a bright white and blue color palette that we carried from the wallpaper to the geometric area rug. Custom millwork, a bone inlay dresser, and our favorite storage baskets for blankets and toys make up the details of the room.
Girls Room 2
In the second girls room, bright lemon-printed wallpaper and pretty pink details make this sweet space feel oh so cheery! A subtly patterned jute rug and woven sconces add some texture to the room that we just love. If this space doesn’t make you smile, we don’t know what will!
Girls Bath
The shared girls bath in this coastal-inspired family home is just too pretty for words. Vertical shiplap walls tie in the millwork throughout the rest of the home, and floral-inspired marble floors add the prettiest detail to this space. We opted for a mixed metals look in this bath with brass plumbing fixtures and polished nickel hardware and sconces. The double vanity ensures that the girls will be able to grow into this space for years to come, while baskets underneath add lots of functional storage.
Aren’t these spaces just the sweetest!? We hope you enjoyed part two of our project reveal. Stay tuned for our “get the look” post coming soon where we’ll be sharing all of the details and sources that make up the coastal bedrooms and bathrooms in this home. We’ve got one reveal for you left in this project. Make sure you’re following along on Instagram so you don’t miss a single detail! Thanks for following along.

Hi Mindy! You are my new favorite designer. Your work is gorgeous and livable. I love following your projects. I know photos can be deceivIng, but the paint color in the main bedroom looks more creamy. Is thAt rIght? WouLd you mind sharing it with me? My painter is currently painting my entiRe houss benjamin moore sweiss coffee, which is beautiFul, but it is making my creamy trim look too dark. I had him stop and im scRambling to Find a creamy wall comir that usnt too yellow. My kitchen and trim are a custom color that was already in Our hOme. Really pretty, but just so creamy and hard to Pair with a “White” wall color. I would absolutely cherish any suggestion from you.
