We are so excited to kick off our latest project launch and share this beautiful coastal family home with you all! After a 15 month full-scale remodel, our Port Newport project holds a special place in our hearts. This home is all about the details. From beautiful millwork throughout to custom finishes and pieces, there’s so much to love about this home. Our clients are a young family with two little girls. They love clean, white, beautiful spaces mixed with lots of fun pops of pattern. We have a feeling you’re going to love the pops of colorful artwork and wallpaper sprinkled throughout this transitional-meets-traditional coastal family home!
In part one of our reveal, we’ll be sharing the main living spaces including the family room, kitchen, dining nook, laundry room, and more. So, keep scrolling – We hope you enjoy this home as much as we do!
Entry
As you enter our Port Newport project, you’re greeted by the most beautiful and unique chandelier. It makes such a fun impact in the space. Speaking of fun… How could we not talk about the custom leopard print runner that draws your eye upstairs? We love when our clients let us run wild with the details (see what we did there?) and this entry is no exception.
Living Room
The formal living space in this home is an homage to all things bright and coastal. A beautiful marble slab fireplace is the focal point of the room. We accented the fireplace with a woven jute mirror and the prettiest brass sconces. A blue and white area rug anchors the beach-inspired furniture, including a white upholstered sofa, oversized square coffee table, and statement lounge chairs with rope detailing.
Kitchen
Perhaps our favorite space in this home, let’s move on to the kitchen! Custom cabinetry and millwork make this kitchen design feel elevated, while still maintaining a timeless quality that we love. Two oversized brass pendants draw attention to the long kitchen island, painted in the prettiest off-white neutral hue. Antiqued brass hardware, woven wood shades, and a patterned neutral runner add warmth to the all-white space.
Kitchen Nook
Directly off the kitchen is the cutest dining nook we ever did see! A white farm table is surrounded by a plush upholstered dining bench and woven chairs. It’s the perfect space to sit down for family meals, work on homework together, and everything in between. Sweet custom patterned sconce shades and a beach-inspired art print tie everything together.
Family Room
As you take a step down into the sunken family room, you’re greeted by a comfy oversized white sectional and a second marble slab fireplace that mirrors the design in the living room. A vintage rug with hints of blue mimics the blue tones in the sofa throw pillows, and woven details throughout speak to the coastal theme throughout the home. Lastly, custom built-in shelves are styled to perfection, while storage space below ensures that there’s plenty of space to stow away board games and toys when play time ends.
Powder Bath
We used fun wallpaper prints throughout this home, and this powder bath is one of our favorite moments! Palm-inspired blue and green wallpaper engages in fun pattern play with the prettiest marble tile floors. Woven storage baskets and a jute vanity mirror carry through more of the warm beachy vibe felt throughout the rest of the spaces in this project.
Laundry Room
Another fun wallpaper moment to love in this home – The laundry room! We stuck with blue tones to keep things consistent, but opted for a more geometric print in this space. A countertop above the washer and dryer ensures that there’s plenty of space for folding and sorting. Lastly, hooks on the wall are the perfect spot to hang dry beach towels at the end of the day.
We hope you love this coastal family home as much as we do! Stay tuned for part two of the reveal coming soon. We can’t wait to share the fun upstairs bedroom and bathroom spaces with you all. Let us know in the comments your favorite room so far. Make sure you’re following along on Instagram to see more of our newest project!
