We’ve shared the charming interior spaces of our beloved #mgdxnelliegail project, and today we’re headed outside to reveal the front exterior of this beautiful home! For a peek inside, head to the living spaces and bedroom spaces to catch up. We worked closely with our client over the span of 2 years to develop the exterior architectural details that reflect the charm of the home’s interior. The result is a timeless and thoughtful exterior with so much curb appeal. Let’s get into all of the details that make this traditional California home truly special! Psst… read to the end to see the before photos to see the full transformation!
The exterior of the home is clad with a mix of horizontal lap siding and brick veneer, all of which is painted in a soft, creamy white paint hue. White aluminum clad windows and doors keep the space bright and inviting, while copper accents on the exterior lighting and gutters add contrast and an old world charm throughout the property.
Off the entry and playroom is a sweet porch area. Our clients really wanted a casual spot for the kids to spend time outside playing and swinging. Architecturally, the covered porch area has simple columns with corbel details, adding a subtle touch that we just love. Upwards of the covered porch is a Juliette balcony off of the daughter’s bedroom.
If you know us, you know we’re big fans of oak accents both on the interior and exterior of our projects. The custom garage doors and front door are done in a timeless white oak with a custom stain color, adding subtle contrast to the surrounding exterior. Lining the front entry are two gas sconces, adding extra charm with flickering flames.
We hope you love the #mgdxnelliegail front exterior as much as we do! Our Nellie Gail project is full of thoughtful details and design elements that truly have our hearts. We’ll be back next week to share the back exterior of this beloved home. It’s one you won’t want to miss!
