If you’ve been following along for a while, you know we’re always in search of unique new paint colors to inspire our designs! BEHR recently released their 2022 Color Trends Palette and Color of the Year, and we were excited to design a few spaces and mood boards around our favorite hues! From the 20 inspirational hues in their palette, three colors stood out to us – A soft seafoam, a warm neutral gray, and a dark charcoal. Below, we designed a bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom space around our favorite hues from BEHR’s 2022 paint color trends palette! Keep scrolling to see our designs, and then head to BEHR to see the rest of their trends palette. Fair warning – We can’t guarantee that you won’t want to repaint your whole house by the end of this post!
Breezeway was announced as BEHR’s color of the year for 2022, and we can definitely see why! It’s a soft sea glass green that brightens any space, while also bringing an air of calmness and peace.
We love to design the bathroom spaces in our projects to feel like a peaceful retreat, so Breezeway was a natural fit for a bathroom design for us! We’ll often opt for a statement color for the bathroom vanity, so we envision this hue as a pretty double vanity against a dark natural stone slab countertop. The patterned tile adds visual interest as a floor tile, and we chose these matte black penny rounds as a shower pan tile. White wall tile and vintage-inspired black hardware completes the look!
Nightingale Gray is the perfect warm taupe color that we’re loving for all kinds of spaces in 2022. It strikes the perfect balance of elegant and on-trend, and we can’t wait to see the spaces that use this color next year.
With the rise of the neutral kitchen, we envisioned Nightingale Gray as the perfect color for kitchen cabinetry. We love how this taupe hue looks against the perfect engineered hardwood flooring and a unique matte white tile backsplash. To add more character, we found the most beautiful marble slab with lots of blue-green natural veining. Brushed brass hardware adds warmth and a cream colored kitchen runner keeps the space feeling light and bright!
It’s no secret that we love a dark charcoal paint color, so we naturally gravitated towards this almost-black hue! We love that it’s a true charcoal, and doesn’t lean too far grey or blue. Cracked Pepper adds the perfect confident punch to any space!
We love a moody bedroom design, especially one with wall-to-wall built-in shelving. We’d use Cracked Pepper to paint a built-in around a fireplace or TV wall in a bedroom, and top it off with this pretty antiqued copper hardware. We carried in the same wood flooring we used in our kitchen design, and added the prettiest rug with dark teal patterning. A mix of fabrics would work well for throw pillows or even statement custom shades!
