Interior Design Mood Boards: Bathrooms

Design
August 16, 2021

Welcome to the latest post in our interior design mood boards series! If you missed our kitchen designs and bedroom designs, head there to catch up. Today’s post is all about these two bathroom mood boards. Whether you’re designing a full main suite or a powder bath, we believe that a bathroom should feel just as pretty and special as the rest of your home! For that reason, we love to bring in beautiful tile, lots of textures, and unique detailing when it comes to lighting and plumbing fixtures. So, keep scrolling, and then shop the pieces in your favorite design below!

Neutral Bathroom Mood Board

Light Bathroom Mood Board - Mindy Gayer Design Co.

(Brass shower door by @coco.and.jack)

Our first bathroom is all things bright and dreamy, and just might be our favorite space yet. We started with a neutral palette of white and cream, and brought in the prettiest antiqued brass accents to add warmth to the space. Patterned marble tile and textured wallpaper add a fun geometric element that we love. For the lighting and plumbing fixtures, we opted for traditional silhouettes in the same warm bronze hue. Psst… For help pairing bathroom sconces and mirrors, head to our perfect pairs post where we shared our favorite duos! Last but not least, a pretty hand soap and linen towel are a must to complete the look!

Dark Bathroom Mood Board

Dark Bathroom Mood Board - Mindy Gayer Design Co.

Because we can never resist a moody moment, we had to create a dark bathroom design board to balance the bright white of our first space. Vintage-inspired patterned tile was the starting point for this design, and we brought in a warm neutral paint color to add depth to the space. A matte black faucet, black leather wall hooks, and black and brass cone wall sconce add all of the cool factor. Last but not least, our favorite striped bath towels and the prettiest hand soap tie together this look.

The kitchen that naturally became the heart of the The kitchen that naturally became the heart of the home. At #mgdxpaseoclemente, this space was designed for the rhythm of everyday life - morning breakfasts, after-school snacks, and evenings when friends gather around the island and stay a little longer than planned. Layered materials, warm finishes, and a palette that plays with contrast give the room depth while still feeling welcoming and relaxed.
