Before & After: Marigold Remodel P.4

The time has finally come: we’re wrapping up our tour of #mgdxmarigold today by showing you the exterior of the house. If you can’t tell by now, this home is so near and dear to us, and we couldn’t be any more happy with how the outdoor reflects that. It’s full of charm and curb appeal, making it (dare we say!) the cutest home on the block. Follow along below to see all that went into making it the space it is today!

Exterior

The exterior of this home once looked similar, yet very different. When we were mapping out our design plans, we knew the exterior needed to take precedence with the demo, to fully feel like it had a complete revamp. We stripped back the entire exterior facade down to the framing, and then rebuilt it from there. We focused on updating the quality of materials, architectural details, and worked with Karen Miller Designs to incorporate dreamy landscaping that tied it all together. For a pop of color, we painted the front door in ‘Pigeon’ by Farrow & Ball to be a statement among the white exterior of the home.

Because California is the epitome of indoor/outdoor living, we wanted to create several spaces throughout that could be home to outdoor relaxation and hangs. The fire-pit area in the front, courtyard off the side of the dining room, and rooftop all add value by giving the homeowner several additional areas to enjoy the house.

This wraps up the house tour of #mgdxmarigold… we can’t tell you how much it means that you’ve shared such kind words about this project. It validates all of the hard work that goes into every detail of a remodel, and we couldn’t be any more grateful to share it all with you!
