As the year comes to a close, we always love looking back before we look forward! 2021 was an exciting year for team MGD, with lots of new projects started, a handful of finished projects launched on our site, the opening of our showroom, and so much more. Take a trip down memory lane with us, and let’s look back at the most-loved photos of 2021! We’re sharing the spaces you loved this year, both old and new. Keep scrolling, and get your pin button ready!
Windward
We revealed our Windward project in early 2021, and you all gave it so much love over the last year! One of the most-loved spaces was the upstairs main bedroom. To see more from this space head to the full home reveal, and to shop it for yourself, head to our get the look post.
Another space from our #MGDxWindward project that you all fell in love with this year was the sweet pink girls bath design! From the bubblegum pink vanity to the marble shower that dreams are made of, there’s so much to love about this space. We put together its own “get the look” post, so head there to shop this bathroom design!
Last but not least, the open-concept living spaces at our Windward project stole the hearts of our audience on Instagram and Pinterest. The modern farmhouse-inspired breakfast nook (which we broke down in a “get the look post” here!) and the cozy neutral living room were two of our most-asked about spaces in 2021. For more angles of these pretty spaces, head to our home reveal post where we shared it all!
Port Newport
In July, we launched our Port Newport project – A light and bright coastal family home with the most beautiful details. The front exterior was a fan favorite on Instagram, and for good reason! Warm white siding was paired with whitewashed brick, and a fun front yard seating area that gets lots of use throughout the summer months in Newport Beach, CA. You all also loved the all-white kitchen so much, we did a “get the look” post highlighting all of the sources from the space. Head there to shop them all!
The last two most-loved photos from #MGDxPortNewport were the airy white-and-blue main bedroom and the perfectly-styled built-in shelves in the family room. To see more of the family room, head to part one of our home reveal series, and to see more from the bedroom (and the accompanying marble bathroom!) head to part two!
Inner Sunset
The final project we launched in 2021 was our historic San Francisco remodel project – Inner Sunset. This moody home was full of original details, but two of the spaces you all loved the most were the formal living room (just look at that fireplace!) and the dining room where we preserved the original built-ins from 1910. To see more from these spaces, head to part one of our Inner Sunset home reveal!
The other two standout spaces in #MGDxInnerSunset were the main bathroom with hand-painted terracotta tile floors and the wet bar in the family room, with the prettiest arched Moroccan zellige tile backsplash. Head to our portfolio to see the rest of this gorgeous family home remodel!
Marigold
Our Marigold project continues to be one of your favorites over the years, and it definitely earned its spot in our most loved photos of 2021! From the dining room and family room to the main bath and laundry spaces, this home will always have a special place in our hearts (and yours). To see more from this full-scale remodel, check out the before-and-after reveals of these spaces. We also shared a “get the look” post from the laundry room, so head there for all of the sources and links!
Lake Arrowhead
Our #MGDxLakeArrowhead project always gets so much love, and it’s a favorite of ours for a reason! This year, the kitchen and family room spaces were your favorites on Instagram. Head to our “get the look” post to shop the kitchen space, and then to our portfolio to see more from this perfect lakeside retreat!
Bainbridge
Last but certainly not least, our Bainbridge project never fails to inspire! This year, we shared “get the look” posts from the backyard retreat, the black and white mudroom, and the cozy main bedroom. If you can’t get enough of this project (and we can’t blame you!), head to our portfolio to see it all.
Thanks so much for taking a trip down memory lane with us and looking back at the most-loved photos of 2021! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We have so many new projects in store for 2022, so make sure you’re following along on Instagram to stay in the loop. Same time, same place next year? Happy New Year, everyone!
